Army Chief General Asim Munir has announced the celebration of “Youm-e-Takreem-e-Shuhada-e-Pakistan” on May 25. After the 9th May Black Day COAS made this decision.
The news of a public holiday on 25th May is not confirmed. There is no official notification by the Federal Govt of Pakistan.
On Social media, there is news that all government, semi-government and private offices and educational institutions in the country will be closed on this day. If there is any such news Parho Pakistan will update about this.
According to ISPR, an award distribution ceremony was organized in honor of martyrs and veterans at the General Headquarters Rawalpindi, addressing which the Army Chief said that every soldier and officer of the army puts their duties above political prejudices. Undoubtedly, we live in a free atmosphere due to the sense of responsibility and great sacrifices of the martyrs.
The Army Chief termed the recent attacks on military installations, memorials, and sanctuaries of martyrs as extremely regrettable and said that they are intolerable. This relationship as a family is proud and exemplary.
